ATLANTA – Carson Wood was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. 

Wood, a junior from London, Ontario, scored his second brace of the season last week in a 3-2 victory Bellarmine. He currently leads the team in goals and points, with six goals and 14 points. He also ranks fifth in the ASUN in goals and ninth in points. Wood has been a vital part of Dolphins success and will continue to lead his team as they enter conference play. 

He is the first Dolphin this year to be awarded with a weekly award from the conference. 

The Dolphins return to action this Saturday to take on #1 Lipscomb on the road to conclude the regular season.
