JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University women's track and field Junior Kristi Snyman won first place in the Women's High Jump with a mark of 1.85m. Snyman set a new ASUN indoor record.
Jacksonville finished in fifth place overall.
Snyman jumped 0.17m higher than the second-place finisher, and bested the previous record of 1.77m set back in 2014. She is the third Dolphin all-time to win the High Jump, and the first since Taylor Story in 2015.
Emma Sullivan won first place in the Women's 800m run with a time of 2:06.75. Sullivan became the ninth Dolphin runner to win the 800m gold medal at the ASUN Championship, but the first since 2018 and she posted the third fastest time in meet history.
Hayleigh Haid won second place in the Women's 5000m run with a time of 16:38.76.
On the field event side, Alana Lecointe and Alyssia Richard placed second and third in the Women's Shot Put with marks of 14.04m and 13.61m. Lecointe placed fifth in the Women's Weight Throw with a mark of 17.86m.
Sela Gur-Arie placed 12th in the Women's Triple Jump with a mark of 10.95m. Julia Sue-Kam-Ling also placed twelfth with a mark of 5.28m.
"We had an excellent two days of effort. We showed significant improvements in many areas and consistency in others. Super excited about the school records that was set during this weekend. We are thankful for the opportunity to complete." said Head Coach Diego Vela.
