JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The JU women's golf team travels to the Huntsville, Ala., area for the2023 ASUN Women's Golf Championships. 

The Dolphins are seeded 8th heading into the 13-team event which will be played on the 6,150-yard, par 72 Highlands Course, one of three tracks at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in suburban Owens Crossroads. 

JU coach Kathryn Dougan, who played her college golf at the University of Alabama, will have redshirt junior Susana Olivares, sophomore Casey Powell, freshman Ivete Rodrigues, junior Jenna Fonda, Laura Pasalodos and alternate redshirt freshman Ashley Huffman representing the school. 

Olivares leads the team within scoring average at 74.05 and in February won the Rivertowne Intercollegiate at Charleston, S.C. where she shot an opening-round 69. 

Following a scheduled practice round Saturday, the tournament will run Sunday through Tuesday with teams playing 18 holes each day. JU be among the first teams out Sunday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. Fans can follow live scoring on Golfstat.com. 

ASUN Championship seeding (listed in order and based on April 12 Golfstat rankings): Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, North Florida, Central Arkansas, Florida Gulf Coast, Austin Peay, North Alabama, Jacksonville, Jacksonville State (Ala.), Eastern Kentucky, Stetson, Bellarmine and Queens.
