JACKSONVILLE, FLA – Jacksonville University Women's Track and Field freshman Mariandree Chacon won first place in the 100m this past weekend at Embry-Riddle Invitational in Daytona.
Chacon finished with a time of 11.42 setting a personal record. She is number one in the ASUN Conference and is number 19 in the NCAA East Region, she is also a potential NCAA Regional qualifier.
Angelnique Bryant placed third in the 100m with a personal best time of 11.94.
McKayla Francis finished with first place in the 200m with a time of 25.24. She also placed sixth in the 400m with a personal best time of 58.64.
Julia Sue-Kam-Ling ran a personal best time of 25.60 in the 400m, she finished sixth place. Teammate Joanna Rogers placed second with a time of 2:16.79.
On the field side for JU, Julia Sue-Kam-Ling placed second with a mark of 5.55m in the Women's Long Jump.
Sue Gur-Arie finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.26.
Alyssia Richard won first place in shotput and discus with a mark of 14.00m and 48.84m, senior Alana Lecointe placed second in shotput and discus with a mark of 12.78 and 38.91.
