JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Wrapping up their hosted appearance at the Sea Best Intercollegiate, the Jacksonville University women's golf team finished 12th in the event, dropping down one spot in the third and final round. 

Ivete Rodrigues finished first for the team, earning a spot in a tie for 28th, shooting up 15 spots in the third round. Rodrigues carded a two-over-par 74, coming up one shot shy of a spot in the top 25. Her third round featured two birdies and four bogeys, helping her climb the leaderboard.

Second for the Dolphins was a pair of JU golfers, as Casey Powell and Fernanda Lacaz finished in a tie for 48th. Powell and Lacaz struggled in the final round after two solid performances on the first day at San Jose Country Club. Starting on holes 11 and 12, the pair couldn't find their footing on the back nine to open up the day, as Powell and Lacaz finished with an overall three-round score of 232 (+16).

Issy Hopkins rounded out JU's scoring lineup, moving six spots on the final day after six birdies. Hopkins managed to birdie four of five straight holes on the back nine to finish the tournament with a three-round score of 234 (+18), finishing in a tie for 56th. 

Coastal Carolina took home the team title, finishing two strokes ahead of runner-up Campbell. Cincinnati golfer Paola Rosario was the individual medalist, finishing with a three-round score of three-under-par. Next up for Jacksonville is the huntsville.org Intercollegiate, playing at Hampton Cove on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail on March 4th.
