JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - On Thursday, May 30, 2024, the Atlantic Sun Conference inducts its Hall of Fame Class of 2024 at One Ocean Resort in Jacksonville. The newest inductees are five individuals that left an incredible mark on both their universities and the league. Among those being inducted, is Jacksonville women's soccer legend, Marit Foss '00.

"Thank you so much for this incredible honor," said Foss on her induction into the league's Hall of Fame. "I am deeply grateful to be inducted into the ASUN Hall of Fame and am truly humbled to be considered amongst athletes who have not only excelled in their disciplines, but have also exemplified the spirit of sportsmanship and dedication."
 
Foss was the offensive leader for the Dolphins from 1997-2000. She was twice named an NSCAA Regional Second Team All-America in 1998 and 2000, and earned Third Team All-America recognition from collegesoccer.com in 2000. She was part of an ASUN Championship team that went 9-0 in the league as a senior in 2000. A three-time First Team All-ASUN performer (1998-2000), she is one of 15 players from active member institutions to achieve that accomplishment. She is also one of 15 players from active member institutions to be named an All-Conference performer four times, with a Second Team nod in 1997. Her name can be found multiple times in the ASUN record book as she tied for fourth all-time with three goals in a game, third all-time with 16 goals in a season, and second all-time with 39 career goals. She is also the career leader in assists in a game (6), the all-time leader in assists (70), tied for third all-time with eight points in a single game, and is the all-time leader in career points (148).

"This moment is a result of countless hours on the field, the love and support from incredible people and a lifelong passion for a game that has given me so much," further added Foss. "I am thrilled to accept this remarkable honor."

Foss is the fifth Dolphin to be recognized as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference's Hall of Fame. She joins JU men's basketball player Ben Smith, Dolphins golfer Russel Knox, baseball legend Daniel Murphy, and track and field star, Monique Tubbs.
