JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville track and field's Sanaa Geter was named Freshman of the Week, the Atlantic Sun league office announced Wednesday.

Geter had an extremely successful showing at the RADD Sports Invitational last Friday.

The freshman from Florida finished third overall in the triple jump, leaping an impressive 11.84 meters. She also finished eighth overall in the 60-meter hurdles.

Geter was also a member of the 4x400 relay unit which finished first overall to round out competition for the weekend.

The Dolphins and Geter are back in action on Friday, Feb. 7 at the Celebration Pointe Classic in Gainesville.
