JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Jacksonville sophomore
Haley Yount added to her already historic awards slate this season, being named to the ASUN's All-Tournament team. She led the Dolphins to a semi-final appearance for the first time since 2015.
Yount is JU"s first All-Tournament honoree since Maraya Prestes in 2015. She was a consistent presence for the Dolphins in the tournament. Yount tallied nine kills (hitting .533) and seven blocks in a four-set win over North Alabama, then she scored six kills and added four blocks against Eastern Kentucky in the semi-finals.
This is the second historic conference honor for the sophomore from St. Louis, as Yount earned first-team All-ASUN honors earlier this week. She is the first first-team all-conference honoree for the Dolphins since Mackenzie Swan and Mallory Mattingly in 2017.
Yount had a tremendous second season for Jacksonville where she became one of the most efficient middle blockers in the country, finishing the season with a .454 hitting percentage. She won two ASUN Player of the Week awards and a weekly Defensive Player of the Week honor.
