GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville University women's golf team finished in 14th at a loaded field at the Gator Invitational hosted by Florida.

Ivete Rodrigues led the way for JU, finishing in a tie for 43rd after scores of 73, 77 and 75. Next came Casey Powell, who finished just one stroke behind Rodrigues, shooting an opening round of 75 before matching Rodrigues in the second with a 77. 

Powell's final round was her highlight of the tournament, shooting a 74 to finish in a tie for 47th

Next for JU was Sophia Perkins (64th) and Erin Marcelino (72nd). The pair rounded out the scoring lineup for the team with Perkins shooting a 76 in the final round and Marcelino shooting 78 in the first and a pair of 79's in second and third rounds.
