JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 2026 volleyball season races to the finish line as the Jacksonville Dolphins make their penultimate road trip of the regular season this weekend. JU will face Stetson and FGCU in a pair of intrastate conference clashes.
The Dolphins come into the weekend in good form after taking down then-league leaders West Florida in a five-set classic last Saturday. Freshman outside hitter
Jaylyn Tuiasosopo is in red-hot form, recording 20 and 19 kills in last week's matches.
Preseason conference player of the year
Haley Yount is in some of the best form of her career as well. She's tallied double-digit kills in three of her last four matches. Her fellow middle-middle blocker, sophomore
Addison Krieger, has been exceptional as well.
The South Carolina won Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Week after leading the league in blocks last weekend. She has double-digit blocks in two of her last four matches, including a career-high 12 (two solo, 10 assisted) against FGCU last time the two teams faced.
It's been an interesting season for the Dolphins against in-state opponents, facing eight in all. JU boasts a 3-5 record against the Sunshine State this season, winning its last two Florida match-ups against West Florida and Stetson, respectively.

Jacksonville picked up its 50th all-time win against the Hatters the last time the two sides met. That match was a five-set thriller, one of a program-record five five-setters in a row for the Dolphins.
Playing in DeLand has been tricky in recent years, with Stetson winning two of its last three matches in the series at home. That includes last season when the Hatters dealt JU its first conference loss of the season.
@ FGCU | Friday Oct. 16 | 6 PM ET | ESPN+
Record: 8-11 (5-4 ASUN)
Head Coach: Thais Baziquetto-Allen (2nd Season)

Since the Eagles defeated Jacksonville in Swisher Gymnasium, FGCU has lost three matches in a row. That includes a pair of five-setters Lipscomb and Bellarmine this past weekend.
Alico Arena has long been one of the best home court advantages in the ASUN. The Dolphins are just 5-16 playing at FGCU, but one of those five wins came this past season. Yount powered JU to a four-set win, tallying 10 blocks and 10 kills to help lead Jacksonville to one of its biggest wins of the season.
