JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Jacksonville graduate student guard
Priscilla Williams continued to build on her illustrious resume as a Dolphin, winning Atlantic Sun Player of the Week for the fourth time and for the second-consecutive week.
Williams has won more ASUN Player of the Week awards than any other player this season. She's also the first player this season to win the award in back-to-back weeks.
Her latest honor comes after leading the Dolphins to their sixth and seventh straight victories last week.
Jacksonville took down Stetson in a battle of top five teams in the league, 76-70, and
then the Dolphins bested River City rivals North Florida, 58-52.
Williams recorded back-to-back double doubles for the week, her ninth and tenth of the season respectively. She leads the league in double-doubles with 10 and has recorded a double-double in three straight games.
Against Stetson, Williams tied for the team lead with 16 points. She also grabbed 12 rebounds, dished two assists and blocked a shot. Against North Florida, she stuffed the stat sheet once again.
Williams scored 13 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished six assists, blocked three shots and recorded three steals versus the Ospreys.
For the season, the star Dolphin has been one of the most productive players in the ASUN in every facet of the game. As of Feb. 17, she is second in the league in scoring, first in rebounding, fourth in blocks, 11th in assists and 17th in steals.
She's the only player in the league in the Top 20 for all five major statistical categories.
Williams and the Dolphins are riding a seven-game winning streak, the program's longest since 2018. Jacksonville will look to tie the 2018 team's record of eight-straight wins this Thursday against the Queens (NC) Royals. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
