Jacksonville Earns Three Spots on FSN Watchlist

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Three Jacksonville women's rowers were named to the For Stars Network preseason watch list heading into the 2026 competition season. Sophomore Amy Downing, and freshmen Peyton Joyner and Tayte Swenson were named among the 196-person team. The Dolphins were the only MAAC squad to have three athletes on the list, and they led all schools in the state of Florida in honorees.

Downing is a fast rising sophomore for the Dolphins. As a true freshman walk-on, she earned a place in the lineup. She rowed in the Second Varsity 8+ at the MAAC Championships last spring. This fall, she rowed with the Varsity 8+ A crew at the Florida Fall Invite. Joyner and Swenson are both proving to be instant contributors in their rookie seasons for JU. They both raced in the Varsity 8+ B crew at the Florida Fall Invite, and they're poised for key roles as the calendar turns to official competition season this spring.

The Dolphins will start their quest for a 10th MAAC championship this spring with a race against the Villanova Wildcats in Gainsville, Florida, March 6. The season culminates with the MAAC Championships on May 17.
