JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University beach volleyball placed a program-record six student-athletes on the ASUN Academic All-Conference Team, the league announced this week.

The six selections mark the most in program history and tie for the most of any school in the ASUN this season, alongside North Florida and Austin Peay.

Representing the Dolphins are Katie Martinez, Claire Mrukowski, Meredith Mrukowski, Morgan Perry, Kate Taylor, and Hayden Garnett.

Jacksonville's group was highlighted by exceptional performance in the classroom, with four student-athletes posting a cumulative GPA of 3.97 or higher, including perfect 4.0 marks from both Martinez and Claire Mrukowski.

Martinez, a senior majoring in Education for Instruction, earned a 4.0 GPA while also pursuing minors in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Health Sciences. Claire Mrukowski, also a senior, holds a 4.0 GPA in Health Sciences & Exercise Science.

Meredith Mrukowski nearly matched that mark with a 3.98 GPA as a senior majoring in Health Sciences & Psychology, while Perry recorded a 3.97 GPA as a Biology major.

Taylor, a senior majoring in Health Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Exercise Science, posted a 3.94 GPA and will graduate a year early. Garnett rounded out the group with a 3.79 GPA as a senior majoring in Marketing & Business Analytics.

The recognition highlights Jacksonville's continued commitment to excellence both on the sand and in the classroom, as the Dolphins continue to set new standards for the program.
