JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville University senior defender Iver Skorve was named to the 2026 Preseason All-ASUN Team, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The league recognition comes as Skorve prepares to begin his fourth season with the Dolphins. Since arriving in Jacksonville as a freshman in 2023, the Sogndal, Norway, native has grown from a young midfield contributor into a veteran presence on the back line.
That progression was on display during his junior campaign. Skorve became a consistent part of Jacksonville's defense, starting each of the final eight matches and helping the Dolphins reach the ASUN Championship semifinals for the first time since 2021.
Even as a defender, he found the back of the net three separate times throughout last season. He scored in Jacksonville's 2-0 victory over Stetson and again in a 2-1 road win at Florida Gulf Coast before adding the equalizer against Bellarmine in the ASUN Championship semis.
Now entering his senior year, Skorve will look to provide a veteran presence for a Jacksonville team preparing to build on last season's postseason run. The preseason honor recognizes the growth he has shown throughout his time with the Dolphins and sets the stage for the final chapter of a four-year Jacksonville career.
Jacksonville opens the 2026 season Thursday, Aug. 20, at Houston Christian, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.
