JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - Jacksonville Women's soccer has made another valuable addition to their roster for the upcoming 2020 season. Head Coach
John Constable, who assumed his position in March, was proud to announce the addition of Alexys Paige Nowak and Tinotenda Chiweshe to the program this morning.
Alexys Paige Nowak - Forward- Oviedo. Florida
Â
Alexys Paige Nowak will be joining the Dolphins after an impressive career at Nova Southeastern, also under Constable's direction. Nowak attended Oviedo High School before starting her college campaign at NSU. The Seminole County Bright House Player of the Year accumulated 21 goals and 15 assists in her senior season at Oviedo to be named MVP. Her list of achievements continued at Oviedo where she was named First Team All-Conference and a 5A State Champion. Nowak continued to find success as a Shark at NSU. She saw post-se

ason action all four years as the Sharks made four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Her sophomore campaign resulted in a conference championship and her final season at NSU made her a regional champion when she registered eight goals and five assists. Nowak will be pursuing a master's degree in Kinesiology.Â
Â
"Alexys played for me for four years at my former university. She is an experienced, seasoned and battle-hardened college player that is accustomed to winning,'' Constable said. "She also knows what I expect from my teams in and out of possession so her transition should be smooth. Added to that, she is someone that is super quick. Running at players and beating them is a great quality of hers. I expect Alexys to do a great job for us in her last season of college soccer."

Â
Tinotenda Chiweshe - Forward – Pembroke Pines, Florida
Â
Tinotenda Chiweshe will be joining JU in the fall while she pursues a degree in Kinesiology. Chiweshe,
who comes from Pembroke Pines, currently attends Charles W. Flanagan High
School. The Broward County native played an instrumental role on the offense at Flanagan, amassing 55 career goals. As a four-year varsity starter, she led the Falcons for two years as team captain and was named a BCAA All-Star Player. Chiweshe also plays with the Miami Lakes Soccer Club.
Â
"Tino will do a good job for our program over her four years here and I expect her to get better each year. She is blazing fast, strong, quick and creates many chances due to those qualities. I like to have players in the attacking areas that can beat people 1-on-1 and Tino is very good at that," Constable said. Â Â
