Dolphins Host Cross-State Rival FGCU for Last Home Contest

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville women's soccer team (5-7-3, 0-1-1 ASUN) competes in front of its home crowd for the last time of the 2021 campaign, on Thursday Oct. 14. JU hosts ASUN opponent FGCU (8-6-0, 5-1- 0 ASUN) at Southern Oak Stadium for the eighth time in program history.

The Dolphins are returning home with a draw after holding Kennesaw State to a 1-1 tie through 110 minutes of action. This marks the program's third draw of the season and first during conference play. FGCU travels to Southern Oak Stadium after achieving a shutout victory against North Florida.

Tomorrow's contest will be the twentieth meeting between the programs. The Dolphins trail the Eagles with a 2-11-6 overall record and a 2-8-5 conference record. The Eagles hold a 3-1-3 record when traveling to JU and playing in front of the Dolphin's fans. 

Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. and the evening will serve as Pink Out night. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month.
