JACKSONVILLE, FLA.- Women's volleyball battles five set victory Saturday evening against Lipscomb.  

SET ONE 

Lipscomb opened the contest with a 6-0 scoring run against the Dolphins. Jacksonville battled back with a 5-0 scoring run 9-6. Lipscomb swung the momentum in their favor extending the lead 16-9. Back-to-back kills for Lyric Love bring the Dolphins within three. Jacksonville went on a 6-0 scoring run tying the game 16-16. The Dolphins kept the momentum, Rebecca Rocassin with two service aces closing out set one 25-21.  

SET TWO 

Back and forth play was the theme to begin set two, however the Bisons held a two-point edge over the Dolphins 14-12. Jacksonville ties the set 17-17 with a block from Myah Robinson and Lyric Love. Lipscomb regained the lead after errors from the Dolphins. The Bisons were able to steal set two 25-21.  

SET THREE 

In the third set, both programs exchange points. Lipscomb pulled away to extend the lead by two 15-12. The Bisons capitalized on the Dolphins errors, but the Dolphins regained momentum. A block from Love and Robinson ties the set 19-19. Two points from the Dolphins put Jacksonville up by one 23-22. An error from Lipscomb allowed the Dolphins to finish set three 25-23.  

SET FOUR 

Lipscomb started off early with a 4-0 scoring run. Jacksonville turns around and goes on a 4-0 scoring run, down by one 9-8. The Dolphins showed grit tying set four 16-16. Lipscomb keeps the pressure on the Dolphins. The Bisons closes out set four 25-19.  

SET FIVE 

The two programs battle back and forth early in set five. Lipscomb takes the lead by one which forces the Dolphins to take a timeout. Two consecutive aces from Rocassin put the Dolphins in the lead 10-9. The Dolphins gained so much momentum clinching set five 15-11.  

Lyric Love and Haley Hart both led with 11 kills and 8 blocks. Julia De Sa with 10 kills 6 blocks. Myah Robinson with 7 blocks and Rocassin with 40 assists. Ayala-Drew collected 23 digs.  

Jacksonville returns home next Friday against North Alabama at 7pm
