JACKSONVILLE, FLA.- As 2023 approaches, Jacksonville University softball has a tough new schedule underway. This year the Dolphins include four freshman, five sophomores, four juniors, three seniors, and three veteran graduate students. 

"We are trying to prepare ourselves the best we can for the competitiveness of the ASUN.  I think our non-conference schedule is set up to do just that," said Head Coach Erica Ayers. 

Ayers and her coaching staff prepared 54 total games, 24 being conference games. The staff added some high caliber teams early in the season such as Florida, Clemson, South Carolina, USF, and Florida State that can help JU prepare for success later in the season.   

ASUN play begins on March 18 as JU travels to Fort Myers to take on FGCU. The ASUN schedule for JU spreads from then to May 6, ending in Jacksonville to play North Florida.   

"We gained a lot of confidence throughout this fall and can't wait to take the field in February," said Ayers. 

The Dolphins take the field in 72 days it will be here before we know it.
