Dolphins Complete Gators Invitational on Sunday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University men's golf concluded the Gators Invitational on Sunday with a T11 finish.
 
The final round of action began late morning following the conclusion of the delayed round two play at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
 
Joseph Sullivan was the Dolphins top finisher, placing T24 after he climbed four spots in the final 18 holes. He recorded an eagle on his second hole of the day, the Par-4 17th, and had 11 pars as well in his final round. His eagle was one of only six made all weekend.
 
Alexandre Vandermoten was close behind, finishing T29 after moving up six spots on the leaderboard in the final round. He birdied his third hole of the day, followed by a stretch of eight pars in his next nine holes. He added another birdie and three more pars in his final six holes of the day.
 
Daniel Montalvo made nine pars and a birdie in his final round, and tied Vandermoten for the team lead in pars, with 35.  
 
Jack Neill had nine pars and a pair of birdies and James Dulin also had nine pars and two birdies.
 
JU finished 6-under on Par-5s for the tournament, with Neill and Dulin both the top scorers on Par-5s for JU, shooting 2-under in the tournament.
 
After a flurry of three tournaments in two weeks, the Dolphins have a breather before hitting the course again for tournament play, next traveling to Tallahassee, Florida for the Seminole Intercollegiate March 13-14.
