TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Joseph Sullivan climbed 29 spots on the final leaderboard to take home a top-25 finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

Jacksonville University men's golf came home 13th overall in the two-day event, which was impacted by weather at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

Sullivan shot his best round of the week by six strokes to finish T22. He wrapped his second round in the morning with four pars and a birdie, then shook off a tough start to his second round, in which he bogeyed his first two holes of his last 18. From there, he ripped off two birdies and seven pars over his next nine. He finished the round with three pars and two more birdies, ending with a team-high nine birdies. His blistering 6-under score on Par-5s was tied for best in the field on such holes.

Freshmen Daniel Montalvo and Tomas Hjalsted both registered top-50 finishes. For Montalvo, it was the first of his career and Hjlasted turned in his best finish since the first event he played in last fall. Montalvo made three birdies in his last 18, while Hjalsted mixed in one to go with nine pars and finished 1-under on Par-5s for the week.

Alexandre Vandermoten moved up 10 spots in the final standings, as he made 12 pars, including on 10 of 11 holes at one point, and a birdie, while Jack Neill had eight pars of his own.

The team hits the course again for The Southern Invitational, starting with 36 holes on Monday, April 3.
