AUSTIN, TEXAS – Jacksonville University women's track and field junior Kristi Snyman competed in the high jump at the NCAA National Championship Saturday night. The South African finished in ninth place with a mark of 1.84m, setting a personal record.
She beat Taylor Story's previous record in 2022 with a mark of 1.74 in Winston, Salem N.C. Snyman beat the record at the NCAA East Prelim with a mark of 1.82m then topped it again this past weekend.
On May 27, Snyman finished top 6 punching her ticket to the NCAA Nationals with a mark of 1.82m. She earned Second Team All-American for the second straight season and has qualified for the NCAA Championship two times the past three seasons.
Snyman will return next season to finish where she left off.
