GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Personal bests left and right for the green and white as Mya Bodrato PR'd leading JU's day two at the Florida Collegiate Invitational Saturday. Five other Dolphins secured top 10 positions throughout the meet.
Bodrato's personal best marks the sixth PR for The Dolphins this season. Bodrato claimed the third spot in the 3000m race. Madeline Weiler, not far behind, finished 9th, and three more dolphins secured top 20 positions: Jordan Dix, Reilly Smith, and Emma DeRosa.
For the third consecutive time this season, an astounding performance by Alyssia Richard, finishing 1st in shot put. Right behind her is Alana Lecointe in 2nd.
Cassie Thompson had a consistently strong performance, clinching 2nd place in the 60m dash prelims before repeating the feat in the 60m dash final.
Joanna Rogers secured 4th place in the 400m dash, leading seven JU competitors. Makayla Francis claimed 7th, and Emily Haney finished 11th. The remaining runners achieved positions in the top 30 in the sprints.
In the women's 800m, Josephine Leonard finished 16th, with Eryn Field in 19th. Lexi Schwartz, Annah Priyadi, Emily Haney, and Jalin Moss Herbert finished in the top 30.
UP NEXT
The Dolphins will stay on the road and compete in the Celebration Pointe Classic on Friday, February 2. The meet will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live on FloSports.
