JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Beach Volleyball program competed in day two of the Duval Duals with matches against Mercer and North Florida on Friday.

In the morning matchup, the Dolphins battled against the Bears. Twos' pairing Emily Kubicsko and Katie Martinez won their match in two sets, with a close first set, winning 21-18. The duo would pull away in the second set though, winning 21-14. Fours' pairing Meredith Mrukowski and Hayden Garnett also earned a victory in two sets, winning both sets by two, 23-21 in set one and 21-19 in set two.

In the afternoon matchup, Jacksonville faced off with North Florida. Two of the five matches went into three sets, as the Dolphins fought valiantly, but could not notch a victory in the duel.

Jacksonville will be back in action next Friday with a match against Eckerd at 8:00 AM in Saint Petersburg. They will also face off against Saint Leo on Friday at Noon and then finish their weekend against Missouri State and Palm Beach Atlantic
