BATON ROUGE, La.- The Jacksonville Beach Volleyball team won both games 3-2 in day two of the Battle of the Bayou invitational, defeating Louisiana Monroe in the morning matchup and New Orleans in the afternoon.
The Dolphins took three out of five from the Warhawks, giving them the duel win. Twos pairing, Emily Kubicsko and Jenna McNamara won in three sets, clinching the first set 21-18. After the duo dropped the second set, they earned a tight third set victory, winning 15-13. Fours' pairing Kristina Nika/Katie Martinez also earned a victory in three sets, clinching their third set 15-13 as well. Fives' pairing Miller Reames/Hayden Garnett earned a victory in two sets.
Jacksonville faced off against New Orleans to finish off their play in the Battle of the Bayou and came out victorious, once again clinching in three out of five sets. Kubicsko/McNamara handily won in two sets, (21-11, 21-6). Twin duo Meredith Mrukowski/Claire Mrukowski produced a win in three sets. Reames/Garnett earned their second victory on the day, winning in two sets (21-16, 21-13).
After going 3-1 on the weekend in Louisiana, the Dolphins set a new program record for most wins in a single season with 14 victories so far on the season, a historic moment for the team.

Jacksonville will look to add to their new program record next weekend as they head to Columbia, South Carolina to face host South Carolina, Georgia State, LSU and Coastal Carolina.
