DOTHAN, Ala. — Alexandre Vandermoten led the way for the Dolphins in the ASUN Championship, earning a spot in the top 10. The Jacksonville University men's golf team finished in ninth, falling back one spot on the leaderboard in the final round.
Vandermoten shot even-par in the final round, beginning with two birdies in the first four holes to move just three shots off the lead in a contested field. In total, Vandermoten ended with five birdies and five bogeys.
Next for Jacksonville was
Josef Hacker, who finished in a tie for 26th and second for the Dolphins, wrapping up the tournament at six-over after a three-over-par third and final round.
A pair of Dolphins finishing in a tie for 42nd, with
Jack Neill and
Daniel Montalvo finished at 12-over, with Neill shooting three-over in the third round to move up one spot.
Lipscomb won the event, capturing their first ever ASUN title, with Lipscomb's Will Holan winning the individual championship.
