JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Beach Volleyball program hosted Charleston and Saint Johns River State on Saturday, along with celebrating the senior class with a senior day ceremony.

The Dolphins took on Charleston in their morning matchup, finding a victory over the Cougars, 4-1. ­­­­

Anna Erickson/Olivia Szyszkiewicz triumphed in their first set, winning 21-13. The one's pairing finished the match off with a 21-18 second set win. Emily Kubicsko/Jenna McNamara found victory in two sets as well (21-14, 23-21). This win gave the dynamic duo the all-time career lead for wins as a pairing in Jacksonville Beach Volleyball history. Claire Mrukowski/Kristina Nika earned a win in two sets too, winning their first securely, 21-8. The three's pairing took the second set 21-16. Four's pair Katie Martinez/Hayden Garnett won a pair of tense sets to take their match, winning the first set 21-19 and taking the third set 15-13. Kelly Erhard/Macie Sacristan was defeated in three sets, losing the first set 21-15 but bounced back in the second set 21-18. Unfortunately, the pair fell short in a close third set 15-13.In the sixes pairing, Amanda Cunningham/Miller Reames won their fist set with ease, 21-7. They had a much closer second set, winning 22-20.

The Dolphins held a Senior Day ceremony to honor Seniors (McNamara, Sereda, Szyszkiewicz, Erickson, Hess) pre-game, giving the team a chance to honor the five seniors that have had a huge impact in the continued growth of the Dolphin program.

Jacksonville faced off against Saint Johns River State in the afternoon matchup, winning all five matches in two sets. Additionally, Seniors Amanda Cunningham/Miller Reames also won in the sixes spot, winning their final match at Dolphin batch in two sets (21-10,21-9). With Jenna McNamara's win against the Vikings, she joins her partner Emily Kubicsko and Dolphins Hall of Famer Sammie Strausburg as the only players to win 50 matches in their career at JU.

The Dolphins are back on the road next weekend, this time heading out to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to face host LSU. In addition, they also will play Southeastern Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe and New Orleans.
