JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - As the regular season winds down, the women's track and field team will compete at the ASUN Outdoor Conference Championship, hosted at the Richard Martin Jr. Track and the Bill Stephens Soccer Complex in Conway, Arkansas. The meet kicks off on Thursday, May 9, and continues through Saturday, May 11.

Thursday's events start with the field competitions, featuring Dolphins' senior
Alana Lecointe and the ASUN's top-ranked discus and shot-put athlete, senior
Alyssia Richard, in the hammer throw at 3:30 p.m. Their best outdoor season marks are 52.41m and 46.48m, respectively. Running events commence at 5:55 p.m., with sophomore
Joy Whittington representing the green and white in the 400m hurdles. ASUN 60m indoor champion and top-ranked ASUN sprinter
Cassie Thompson, along with sophomore
Mariandree Chacon, will compete in the 200m at 6:30 p.m. Junior
Mya Bodrato will close out the first day with the 10k at 9:15 p.m.
On Friday, Lecointe and Richard take the spotlight again, this time in the shot put at 4:30 p.m. Concurrently, ASUN indoor champion
Ma'kala Davis, who leads the conference in the triple jump, and sophomore Julia Sue-Kam-ling, will participate in the long jump, with Davis having a season-best mark of 6.02m. Freshman
Drea Thompson will compete in the high jump at 5:45 p.m. At 6:45 p.m.,
McKayla Francis and indoor champion
Cassidra Thompson are set to race in the 400m. The 100m dash follows with
Cassie Thompson and
Mariandree Chacon.
Joy Whittington returns for the 100m hurdles, while
Madeline Weiler wraps up Friday's events with the 3000m steeplechase.
Saturday's action begins with Lecointe and Richard in the discus at 3 p.m. The triple jump featuring
Ma'kala Davis and
Sela Gur-Arie starts at 5:30 p.m. The Dolphins' 4x100m relay team, comprised of
Cassidra Thompson,
Mariandree Chacon,
Cassie Thompson, and Makayla Francis, will run at 6:10 p.m. The same quartet will also take on the 4x400m relay at 8:55 p.m.
Joy Whittington will compete in her third event, the 400m hurdles, with
Cassie Thompson and
Mariandree Chacon racing in the 100m finals.
Cassidra Thompson and Makayla Francis will go head-to-head in the 400m finals. The meet concludes with the final 200m race, featuring
Cassie Thompson and
Mariandree Chacon, followed by the final 5k with
Mya Bodrato and
Madeline Weiler.
