JU Volleyball Adds Four 2026 Signees

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The Jacksonville Dolphins are reinforcing for the future, adding four signees from the high school ranks for the Class of 2026. JU's newcomers come from across the land, bringing in players from Puerto Rico to Kansas.

This is the second signing class under head coach Alicia Manguiat as the Dolphins continue to establish the culture and identity that's helped JU to its first 20-win season since 2013.

"We're so excited to officially welcome this group," Manguiat said. "Each of them brings great energy, love for the game, and the kind of character that raises our standard every day. I can't wait to get them in the gym!"

Jaylyn Tuiasosopo - Outside Hitter , San Antonio, Texas
Tuiasosopo is an elite young hitter, recently being named to the AVCA All-Region Team for Texas. She's been a key contributor for O'Connor High School since she was a 14-year-old freshman, currently leading a 21-match winning streak in her final high school season.

She recently won Player of the Week honors from the San Antonio Express-News, and her team is still competing for a 6A State Championship. On the club side, Tuiasosopo played for 18-1 Eddie, South Texas Volleyball Academy.

Coach's Comments
"Jaylyn is a high flier with a big arm, and she's very fun to watch play. She brings a strong presence on the court and a genuine love for the game. I'm excited to see how she'll elevate the level of play in our gym and continue to grow as a player and teammate."
Aaliyah Mixon - Outside Hitter , Dallas, Texas
Mixon is another prospect joining the Dolphins from the Lone Star state, hailing from Allen High School in the Dallas area. She's been a standout for her high school team, helping the Eagles to a 37-7 record and a spot in the regional semifinal.

She's earned All-Region and All-Conference honors in her high school career.

Coach's Comments
"Aaliyah is an explosive attacker who has the ability to play all three front row positions. She's a great athlete with an impressive jump and a strong presence at the net. Her versatility and positive energy make her a great fit for our program on the court and within our culture."
Daiangelie Gonzalez - Outside Hitter , Cidra, Puerto Rico
Gonzalez has been a premier prospect in Puerto Rico, winning the Puerto Rican High School State Championship with Colegio Católico Notre Dame this year.

She's been involved with the Puerto Rican National Team system, playing for the U17 National Team at the 2024 U17 World Championship. She was a key player for that piece, recording 16 kills and eight digs in Puerto Rico's final game of the tournament.

Gonzalez also represented Puerto Rico in the 2025 U19 World Championships, recording double-digit kills against Chile and the Dominican Republic.

Coach's Comments
"Daia has been around high-level volleyball from a young age, and it shows. She's trained within the Puerto Rican national team pipeline and traveled the world playing the game she loves. Her passion and energy are contagious, and she's going to be a great addition to our program."
Selah Simien - Libero , Lawrence, Kansas
Simien will reinforce the Dolphins' backrow. She hails from Lawrence, Kansas, adding to JU's growing core of midwestern recruits including Haley Yount (Missouri) and Addison Krieger (Illinois) and Kathryn Adler (Minnesota).

Simien played at Lawrence High School and for Dynasty Volleyball in Kansas City, one of the premier clubs in the country.

Coach's Comments
"Selah is an impressive athlete who brings great skill and a strong competitive mindset to our program. Coming from an athletic family, she has a natural feel for the game and a drive that will make her a great addition to our ball control group."
