JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Beach Volleyball hosted a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon, splitting results with a decisive win over Wingate followed by a hard-fought loss to No. 16-ranked University of North Florida (UNF).
In the opening match, the Dolphins earned their first victory of the season with a dominant 5-0 sweep of Wingate. Jacksonville showcased consistency and control across all courts, winning each pair match in straight sets. Senior

Claire Mrukowski led the effort on Court 1, defeating Amelia Talbott and Lilou Thieme (21-10, 21-13). Junior

Morgan Perry followed with a commanding 21-16, 21-7 win at the No. 2 position.
The Dolphins continued their dominance with a strong showing from sophomore

In the afternoon match, Jacksonville faced a formidable challenge against nationally ranked UNF. Kubicsko and Mrukowski battled on Court 1 but fell to the Ospreys' top duo (21-18, 21-13). The most competitive match came on Court 3, where Nika and Perry claimed the first set but were edged out in a tight three-set loss (19-21, 21-17, 15-9). Reames and Taylor pushed their opponents to a narrow 22-20 finish in the second set, while other pairs also showed resilience despite the 5-0 result.
