Director of Rowing Mike Lane

"Today was a challenging but good day. In order to continue to raise our standards we have to race fast teams and UCF certainly is fast!

Proud of the fight our women put in today. They could have quit and didn't. They fought the entire race which is great to see."

Stetson Event
Jacksonville faced off against multiple teams, with the event featuring teams from: Stetson, JU, Nova Southeastern, Rollins, Embry-Riddle and Wesleyan.

The Dolphins won the 3V8, 1V4 and the 2V4. It was a dominant performance in the 1V4 with JU finishing with a time of 7:57.8, the only team to break the 8:00 mark.

Director of Rowing Mike Lane
"Today was a learning opportunity. We had some successes but also some failures. This is the only way to learn and I expect that we will take these lessons and work on ways to adjust and adapt as we head into our next race in 2 weeks.

I was very proud of our boats that won today. I also eager to get back to work to find the speed we have in our other boats.   This team is resilient and I look forward to how they respond to this test."

Racing Friday afternoon and Saturday morning was a great test and practice for what we will be doing in two weeks out the sunshine state invite. I look forward to that opportunity."
