OCONEE, Ga. — The Jacksonville University men's golf team finished 10th at a loaded Linger Longer Invitational. The tournament featured 16 teams with multiple coming from the SEC and other power conferences.
Brandon Lohr was a highlight for JU in the event, shooting six-under-par in the event, including four-under in the final round. That four-under featured two birdies and an eagle, with no bogeys or worse on the scorecard. That round was enough to propel Lohr to a sixth place finish.
Next was
Daniel Montalvo, who finished the tournament at even-par. Montalvo opened the event with an even-par scorecard before struggling in the second round with a three-over round. Montalvo flipped the script in the final round, shooting three-under to move into 28th place at the finish.
Third for JU was
Andrew Morgan who started slow, shooting three-over in the first and eight-over in the second. He finished his event with a two-under round becoming the third of four Dolphins to shoot under-par in the final round.
Rounding out the scoring lineup was
Tomas Hjaltested, who shot a one-under final round to move up 14 spots after a slow start to the tournament.
