JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The Jacksonville volleyball program released its schedule for the 2025 season Monday. The 28-match regular season features a slate of non-conference tournaments before the start of ASUN play at the end of September.
"We're excited for the schedule we've put together for this upcoming season," JU head coach Alicia Manguiat said. "It's a chance to compete against some of the best teams in the country and test ourselves as we get ready to compete for an ASUN Championship."
The Dolphins will open their season in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the Crimson Tide Invitational hosted by Alabama. Jacksonville kicks off the season against the UAB Blazers on August 29 at 10 a.m., before facing the Crimson Tide that same night at 7 p.m.
The following weekend, the Jacksonville staff will make a homecoming against the nationally ranked Pitt Panthers. Coach Manguiat and assistant coach
Peter Manguiat both had stints with the Panthers before coming to JU.
The Dolphins will face Pitt on September 9 at 1 p.m.
Jacksonville will travel south to Daytona Beach for the Bash at the Beach, hosted by Bethune-Cookman. The three-day tournament features bouts with the Wildcats, Charleston Southern and South Carolina State.
The non-conference slate ends with the Dolphin Volleyball Classic presented by Hampton Inn East Regency, Jacksonville's first opportunity to compete in front of the home faithful in Swisher Gymnasium.
From September 18 through the 20, Jacksonville will face Jacksonville State, Florida A&M and West Virginia in the final tune-ups before ASUN play begins.
In conference play, the Dolphins will start on the road against Queens and West Georgia. The home conference season opens with cross-town rivals North Florida for the first of two regular season River City Rumble matches. The match is slated for 7 p.m. on October 2.
Among the marquee conference games are a home duel against Eastern Kentucky on October 18, a trip to reigning ASUN champions Florida Gulf Coast on October 26, and the final River City Rumble of the season at North Florida at 7 p.m. on October 30.
The season concludes at the ASUN Tournament, hosted by FGCU. The three-day tournament starts with the quarterfinal round on November 20.
