JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University beach volleyball closed out the River City Invitational with a pair of wins on Saturday, completing a perfect 4-0 weekend at Dolphin Beach as part of Senior Weekend.

The Dolphins honored seniors Breanna McDonough, Jamie Seward, Lizzie Kitchen, Kate Taylor, Morgan Perry, Alizé Lemieux, and Katie Martinez, celebrating one of the most accomplished classes in program history.

Lemieux and Martinez, the two seniors who have been with the program all four years, are part of the winningest senior class in program history. Martinez continues to climb the record book, now sitting at 51 career wins, fourth-most in program history.

Dolphins Sweep Florida Southern

Jacksonville opened the day with a dominant 5-0 victory over Florida Southern, winning all five scoring courts.

Claire Mrukowski and Megan Hair led the way at No. 1 with a 21-14, 21-12 win, while Meredith Mrukowski and Breanna McDonough battled to a three-set victory at No. 2, 18-21, 21-14, 15-6.

Kyelynn Swink and Hayden Garnett added a straight-set win at No. 3, 22-20, 21-11, before Kate Taylor and Morgan Perry secured the fourth point with a 21-17, 21-14 victory.

Katie Martinez and Maddie Fielder completed the sweep with a 21-12, 21-11 win at the No. 5 flight.

Jacksonville Downs Palm Beach Atlantic

The Dolphins followed with a 4-1 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic to close the weekend unbeaten.

Mrukowski and Hair picked up another win at No. 1, battling to a three-set victory, 21-9, 17-21, 15-9. Meredith Mrukowski and Avery Kleithermes added a straight-set win at No. 2, 21-18, 21-18.

Perry and Taylor delivered a three-set win at No. 3, 15-21, 21-19, 15-12, while Martinez and Fielder secured the fourth point with a 21-12, 21-11 win at No. 5.
