JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University beach volleyball head coach Dylan Hough announced the addition of Andrea Da Silva Encinas to the Dolphins' staff as a graduate assistant.
"We're thrilled to welcome Andrea to our staff this year," Hough said. "She brings a championship pedigree, a proven track record of success and an unmatched passion for the game. Andrea has found success at every stop throughout her career, and that experience will be an incredible asset to our program.
"Beyond what she has accomplished on the court, she's a tremendous leader who understands what it takes to build a winning culture. We're excited for the impact she'll have on our student-athletes, both as players and as people, and we're confident she'll play a significant role in continuing to move our program forward."
Da Silva Encinas joins Jacksonville following a decorated two-year career across town at North Florida. During her final season with the Ospreys, she earned First Team All-ASUN and Academic All-ASUN recognition while helping North Florida advance to the 2026 ASUN Championship final.
Playing primarily alongside Madison Espy in 2026, Da Silva Encinas earned ASUN Pair of the Week honors after the tandem defeated pairs from No. 3 USC and No. 10 Long Beach State on the same day. The pair also collected ranked victories over No. 2 Stanford, No. 14 Florida Atlantic and No. 15 Stetson during the season.
Da Silva Encinas helped North Florida capture the 2025 ASUN Championship and earn an automatic berth in the NCAA Championship. She and Sophia Notaro were named to the ASUN All-Tournament Team after winning in straight sets on court five during UNF's championship-match sweep of Stetson.
Before arriving at North Florida, Da Silva Encinas competed for one season at Southeastern Louisiana. She and Rachel Hartmann finished the 2024 campaign with a 23-9 record at the top position, establishing a program record for victories by a pair. Da Silva Encinas earned Second Team All-Southland, Southland Pair of the Week and Southland All-Academic honors during her lone season with the Lady Lions.
The Andorra la Vella, Andorra, native began her collegiate career playing indoor volleyball at Polk State College. She was a member of Polk State's 2021 NJCAA Southeast District B championship team and earned FCSAA All-Academic recognition during her freshman season.
