Taylor Wins ASUN Offensive Player Of The Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Jacksonville senior talisman Jack Taylor added another award to his cabinet this week. He was named the Atlantic Sun Offensive Player of the Week after his most prolific game of the season.

Taylor led the Dolphins to a 27-7 win over the Bellarmine Knights, the highest scoring game in program history. The senior from Westborough, Mass. was the straw that stirred JU's drink, recording a game and season-high eight points.

Taylor scored four goals and provided four assists, leading the way to Jacksonville's offensive explosion. His eight points also tied his career high, matching his mark in an 18-4 win over Iona last spring.

This season, Taylor has solidified himself as an all-time great for the Dolphins. He's third all-time in program history with 176 points. He's been one of the most productive attacking players in the country this season, averaging just under five points per game. He's currently leading the ASUN in points and assists per game.

Taylor's tallied at least three points in every game this season and in 18-straight games dating back to last season.

As he chases an ASUN title and the program's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Taylor is also now among the ranks of the professional game. He was drafted 31st overall in the Premier Lacrosse League College Draft by the Denver Outlaws.

Taylor is the first JU player drafted since 2023 and the first offensive player taken since 2019.

The Dolphins close the regular season this Saturday against the Mercer Bears. Opening faceoff is set for noon. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
