JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The Jacksonville Dolphins were honored with the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season. To earn the honor, a team has to maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.

This past year, the Dolphins earned a 3.66 GPA for the 2025-26 academic year. Jacksonville has been recognized 12 times since the award was introduced in 1992, including seven of the last eight seasons.

Not just recognized as a good academic squad, JU was one of the best in the Division I, earning a spot on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll for being in the top 20 percent amongst all teams in the division.

"We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon in the organization's official statement.
