JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Since 1972, Jacksonville Volleyball has competed and represented the Dolphins on the court. Now, the program is launching a new opportunity to help usher in a new era of success for JU Volleyball: Club '72.
Named in honor of the program's founding, Club '72 celebrates the athletes, coaches and supporters that have built the JU Volleyball Program into what it is today. The club is a way to directly contribute to the volleyball program's success on and off the court, helping to build a championship experience for Dolphin student-athletes.
"Club '72 is a fantastic opportunity for us to recognize our program's past and build for the future," head coach Alicia Manguiat said. "We hope we can bring together the Jacksonville community to make an impact for our student-athletes."
As part of Club '72, members will be able to purchase courtside seats. Courtside memberships will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
JU is coming off one of the best seasons in program history, posting a 22-8 record and reaching the ASUN Semifinals. Now, the Dolphins are back to chase the program's first ASUN championship since 2014. Jacksonville opens its home season at Historic Swisher Gymnasium Friday, Sept. 4 at 7 PM against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.
