MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. --- The Jacksonville Dolphins finished their first tournament of the 2026-27 season, earning a ninth-place team finish at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate. The Dolphins improved two spots from their finish in the tournament a year ago.

Jacksonville's top finisher was junior Brandon Lohr. Lohr found himself near the top of the leaderboard all week, finishing in a tie for 14th place with a four-under score to par. He opened his tournament with a bogey-free 68 to vault into the top 10. He followed that up with a one-under 71. Lohr ended his tournament with a one-over 73.

Joining Lohr in the Top 20 was sophomore Evan Raynor. After seven appearances as a freshman, Raynor had his first breakout tournament with a career-best T-19 finish, shooting two-under for the tournament. 

He started the week strong, if unspectacular, shooting back-to-back 73s. It all came together for him in Tuesday's final round, shooting a four-under 68.

He went out in 32, posting four birdies on the front, then birdied the par-four 10th to start the day five-under. Two bogeys brought him back to the field, but a birdie on the 578-yard par-five 17th secured the first Top 20 finish of his career.

Senior Andrew Morgan posted a Top 30 finish, his third-straight Top 30 finish dating back to the Giles-Sprately Invitational last spring. Morgan started hot with a two-under 70, posting six birdies in the process, then followed it up with an even-par 72. 

Morgan pushed into red figures for the tournament early Tuesday before ultimately carding a 74 to secure a Top 30 finish.

JU's next best individual finish came from junior Andrew Sevene, competing as an individual. He tied for the best scoring average on par threes in the field, shooting three-under par on the course's four par threes.

Sevene opened with a 75 before shooting back-to-back 73s to close the week T53.

Freshman Ledger Conley and senior Will Harris rounded out the starting five for JU. Conley, playing in his first college tournament, carded rounds of 71-78-76 to open his college career with a T71 finish. 

Harris posted scores of 71-80-79 to finish T85.

The Dolphins return to the Carolinas in a week's time for the JT Poston Invitational in Waynesburg, North Carolina. The tournament runs Sept. 13-15 at the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club.
