CONWAY, SC – Kicking off their 2022 campaign, Jacksonville Women's Soccer heads out on the road to battle Coastal Carolina this Thursday, August 18, at 7 pm.

Returning from the 2021 roster are leading scorers Selma Fohrer and Beyonce Robinson, who both combined for eight of the 'Phins' 28 goals last season. Also returning to be a massive component of the Dolphin defense is Anna Remensnyder, who was an anchor in the defensive third last season while also notching two goals.

Looking at the rest of the roster, JU has also added an incoming class of 13 new faces which will hopefully reenergize a Dolphin team who made great strides as a program in 2021.

WHO

Coming off a season in which JU accomplished their most overall wins since 2014, and most conference wins since 2017, the 'Phins are looking to start this season right where they left off, beginning with the Chanticleers on Thursday.

In JU's history against Coastal Carolina they have amassed a series record of 3-4-1, with the two team's last meeting ending in a hard fought 0-0 draw just a season ago. 

Thursday's match also marks the first time that both teams will face each other on the campus of CCU, with their previous eight meetings happening in either Jacksonville or at a neutral site.

WERE AND WHEN

Thursday's match is scheduled for a 7 pm opening kick-off from the Coastal Carolina Soccer Stadium in Conway.
