NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Following the conclusion of the 2025 ASUN Women's Soccer Tournament, a pair of Jacksonville Dolphins were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Goalkeeper
Pia Bozic and midfielder
Ana Alvarez Garcia were both honored after helping the Dolphins to a
trip to the ASUN Tournament Semifinals.
Bozic was a stalwart in net during both games, first posting a clean sheet against #3 North Alabama in the Quarterfinals. Bozic made five total saves over the course of regulation time plus a 20-minute extra time period. By keeping the Lions goalless, Bozic led her squad to JU's second straight penalty kick shootout in ASUN Tournament play in as many years.
The graduate keeper from Slovenia blocked UNA's first attempt at the net. She then blocked North Alabama's last attempt at the net, securing the 5-4 penalty kick victory for her team.
In the semifinals against host #1 Lipscomb, Bozic again posted a scoreless regulation. Facing five total shots on goal, Bozic made four saves in JU's 1-0 loss in extra time.
Against ASUN competition, Bozic posted seven total regulation time shutouts in games she started in. She finished ninth in the ASUN in saves during the whole season and allowed the fourth fewest goals across the entire year.
As for the senior transfer Alvarez Garcia, the midfielder played the full 92 minutes against the Bisons, taking two shots and one shot on goal. Against the Lions, Alvarez Garcia played 100 total minutes and took one shot.
The Asturias, Spain native played the second most minutes on the team, behind only Bozic. She finished second on the team in assists with four.
