JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Beach Volleyball program competed and hosted day three of the Jacksonville Invitational with matches against Palm Beach Atlantic, Chattanooga, and Florida International on Friday. In Sunday's Dolphin Duels, Dylan Hough coached in his 100th match as Head Coach of the Jacksonville Beach program.

In Jacksonville's morning match, the squad faced off against Palm Beach Atlantic for the first of three matches on Sunday. The Dolphins won all five matches, giving the team a great start to the day. Jenna McNamara earned her 40th career win, making her the fourth Dolphin to ever reach the 40-win mark. Her partner Emily Kubicsko is ranked third, just one win
ahead at 41 career wins. Three out of the five matchups were decided in two sets, one of them being Olivia Szyszkiewicz and Anna Erickson. This win moved Olivia into fifth all-time in career wins by a Dolphin beach player. She currently has 33 career wins.

Anna Erickson, Rachel Hess, Skye Tiedemann, and the sisters Meredith and Claire Mrukowski, all clinched their first career collegiate beach victory as well.

The Dolphins faced off against Chattanooga in their noon duel. Three Jacksonville pairs came out victorious, giving the team a 3-2 win. Kristina Nika and Claire Mrukowski won in two sets, winning their first set by four, and the second set by three. Rachel Hess and Skye Tiedemann battled through two 21-18 sets and in the third, pulled away to win 15-9, to claim the victory for the 'Phins. Meredith Mrukowski and Katie Martinez went back and forth in their matchup, but ended up pulling it out in the third, 18-16.

In the team's final match of the day and of the Jacksonville Invitational, they faced off with FIU. Claire Mrukowski and Kristina Nika came out victorious in two sets, winning both 21-18. The rest of the pairs competed and battled but could not come away with a victory. Jacksonville returns to the sand courts next weekend, where they will play at North Florida. On Friday the 'Phins play Florida Gulf Coast and Mercer, then Mercer and North Florida on Saturday.
