COLUMBIA, SC. – Jacksonville Beach Volleyball competed in day one of the Gamecock Grand Slam taking on host South Carolina and Georgia State. The Dolphins battled valiantly but were defeated by the Gamecocks and Panthers.
In the first matchup of the day against the host Gamecocks, the 'Phins were defeated 5-0.
Anna Erickson/Olivia Szyskiewicz were battling in their second set but fell short 21-19.

Jenna McNamara pushed their second set all the way to 27-25 but couldn't leave the set victorious.

Macie Sacristan won their second set 21-19 to push their match to three sets.
In the afternoon matchup Jacksonville competed against the #15 team in the country, the Georgia State Panthers. Erickson/Szyskiewicz fought hard in the first set but lost 22-20 and went on to drop the second set, 21-17. Twin pairing

Claire Mrukowski also pushed their first set to 22-20 but were defeated as well. Sixes pairing

Miller Reames pushed their match to three sets, winning the second set 21-18,but fell just short in the third set, 16-14.

Jacksonville Beach Volleyball completes their final regular season matches of the 2024 season against LSU and Coastal Carolina tomorrow. The LSU match starts at 9:00 AM and the Costal Carolina match started at 3:00 PM.
