JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville's
Christian Sekanina and freshman
Logan Hall have both earned weekly ASUN honors. This marks the third time Sekanina has won weekly ASUN honors throughout his career, and the first for the freshman Hall.
The pair recorded 90 valuable minutes in Saturday's 0-0 draw versus the Stetson Hatters, earning the Dolphins their first conference point of the season. Jacksonville relied on Hall's defense to stop multiple attacking attempts, which led to only seven shots from a hot Stetson offense. Of the seven shots, 3 of them registered on goal, all of which were saved by Sekanina.
Sekanina adds to an impressive list of accolades during his four-year career at JU. He was named the 2024 ASUN Scholar Athlete of the Year as well as being selected to represent Jacksonville as an ambassador for the NCAA Student Athlete Leadership Forum in 2023 and 2024.
Hall has anchored JU's backline throughout his nine game tenure, while also tallying a goal in the season opener against GCU.
The Dolphins next will travel to face the UAB Blazers at 8 p.m on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
