Dolphins Finish Under Par, Lohr Takes Top-5 Spot at West Bay Collegiate Invitational

ESTERO, Fla. – The Jacksonville University Men's Golf team wrapped up the West Bay Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), securing a 7th place finish. The Dolphins finished the two-day event with a cumulative score of 11 under par.

The Dolphins posted a total of 11 under par, showcasing their best golf in the final round with a 5-under performance. This final round effort was crucial in distancing the team from Middle Tennessee (7 under) and Coastal Carolina (6 under) in the final standings.

Lohr Leads the Charge with Elite Finish

The highlight of the week belonged to Brandon Lohr, who delivered an outstanding effort to finish in a tie for 4th place overall. Lohr recorded a stellar 11 under par total (66-69-70), placing him just four shots shy of the co-winners. His opening-round 6 under (66) set the pace, and he maintained his strong form through the weekend, marking a crucial top-five result for the Dolphins this season.

  • Daniel Montalvo provided the team's second-best score, finishing tied for 23rd overall with a 3 under par total (71-72-70). Montalvo's steady play included two under-par rounds and a final-round 2 under to help cement the team's overall standing.
