JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- For the second time this season, Jacksonville graduate student guard
Priscilla Williams has been named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week. The honor comes off of a historic weekend that saw two of the greatest individual performances in school history.
Williams set the school's single-game scoring record
against Central Arkansas, scoring 44 points. The breakout was the highest scoring game from an ASUN player this year and the first 40-point game in JU history.
She also smashed the single-game free throw record, going 20-22 from the charity stripe.
Williams followed up the greatest scoring game in school history by stuffing the stat sheet during the following game
against North Alabama. Against the Lions, Williams recorded the first 20-point, 20-rebound game in school history. She finished with 25 points and 20 rebounds. Her 20 rebounds are the most by an ASUN player this season.
For the weekend, Williams averaged 34.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. This is the second Player of the Week honor for Williams this season,
winning the league's weekly honor after a then-career high 29 points in an upset
win over Georgia Tech.
The Dolphins split the weekend against Central Arkansas and North Alabama. They'll hit the road for the second time in the conference season this weekend, taking on the league leading EKU Colonels Thursday at 6:30 PM.
