Andrea Pressley was more than just a one trick pony excelled in several disciplines on a national level for the JU track and field program.
She was a three-time NCAA Championship participant, All-America honoree, All-Conference selection 11 times. Pressley scored in nine different events for JU and set the school record in the heptathlon.
The honors are just part of Pressley’s career.
She performed on the biggest stage in the college track & field world – finishing fourth at the national championship to earn All-America honors, becoming the second Dolphin to earn the national recognition in track and field.
While laying the foundation for the future success of the track & field program at JU, she graduated from JU with her degree and is now a teacher in Jacksonville.
“Not only is Andrea a tremendous athlete, but she is a tremendous person,” said JU head track and field coach Ron Grigg, who coached Pressley during her career. "She made a significant contribution to our program and along with Monique Tubbs, set the standard at JU.”
