A four-year letterwinner on the men’s rowing team, John Petrakis has been one of the guiding forces of the Dolphins. One of the top rowers during his career, Petrakis also served as an assistant coach his final two seasons at JU and was named team captain his final two seasons. Upon graduation, he became a successful businessman with an undeniable passion for the rowing program – helping raise money for the rowing center as well as sponsoring the annual Petrakis Cup competition between JU and UCF.
