9228Kat Sungy earns the distinction of being the first women’s basketball player inducted into the Jacksonville University Hall of Fame. A two-time all-conference honoree, she was one of the inaugural members of the program. Sungy, who ended her career in 2003 is the all-time leader in career rebounds with 956, which is more than 350 ahead of the next closest Dolphin. She currently ranks in the top five all-time in several other categories including points scored, where she is third all-time with 1,183, and field goals made where she is second all-time with 472. During her time she record a school record 33 double-doubles. Sungy earned Atlantic Sun academic honors three times. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Jacksonville University in 2003.
