Arguably one of Jacksonville’s best men’s basketball players in recent memory, Ben Smith holds five career records, including assists (515) and steals (230), and is second all-time with 1,971 points. He helped guide the Dolphins to ASUN title games in2009 and 2010, culminating in appearances in the NIT Tournament both years. With a 15-5 mark in league play during the 2008-09 season, the Dolphins were crowned the regular season champions.

Smith was a four-time All-ASUN selection, a two-time ASUN All-Tournament Team pick, and the 2010 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year. Playing professionally for the past six years, his career has taken him overseas to Sweden, Iceland, Greece and France. As an All-Star selection, he has led several leagues in scoring, including the French NM1 League.
